All the above are true, but I think what is most common, with any natural bones, including chicken, is that they will cause a blockage in the dogs digestive tract. The dogs teeth are very strong, and he can break pieces off the bone that are big enough to block his digestive tract. They soon end up with diarea, and vomit, and if the bone doesn’t dislodge itself, you will have to take it to the vet to have it surgicly removed. Some dogs have been known to die from this. I recomend Nylabones starting at puppy age, so that they get used to them, and keep increasing bone size until they are fully grown.
