Can a Dachshund dog eat lettuce with no ill effect on its health?
Bluengreen asked:
My two year old Dachshund gobbled up some lettuce I had dropped while making a sandwich. I’d never seen seen him eat lettuce before. Now, I’m mildly concerned he could get sick. Help!

No lettuce is not going to hurt your dog. Mine eats it occasionally as a treat.

Lettuce is fine. Things that aren’t are: cocoa, onions, grapes, raisins, avacado pits, peach pits, any pit… macadamin nuts, mushrooms, tomato sauces (because they’re mixed with onion powder and garlic powder), large amounts of garlic… I will find the list!
