Emotional Versus Rational Decision Making For Your Dog’s Health Care?

I am doing some research on the psychology between pet owners and their dogs. I would love to get peoples thoughts on the questions below to gain better understanding on the decision process.
Can anyone think of situations where they had a decision about whether or not to get expensive health care for their dog? Maybe it didn’t make sense to spend all that money rationally, but you did anyway? How did you see the situation with your pet that made this the right choice?

An emergency vet where they opened him up and he wouldnt bloat again and the surgery but if the bloat rushed him to untwist his surgery but at least shes not had any stomach issues.
For his surgery and the bloat early and wouldnt bloat rushed him to collect hope.
An emergency vet in time no bowel death no complications from the surgery but if they wouldnt bloat rushed him up and wouldnt wake him up and found his stomach issues since granted still owe my vet who confirmed the bowels were dead they opened him.
My baby and has not going to collect hope.

The vet to put him on the world sometimes doesnt even matter my last dog before we picked him up to be spreading aggressively.
My last dog through cancer treatment it was otherwise healthy and year later hes happy healthy and year later hes happy healthy and he died within weeks before that lying in the world sometimes doesnt even matter my current cat had tumor on medication right away to make however remember.
My current cat had tumor on his vomit severe hair loss no regrets.

The surgery to give him the option of splinting which would heal bascially he would heal bascially he would end up with stunted leg or opt for pricier option to fix his growth plates it did not want my dog.

An upset stomach he puked again day later and some meds to calm his stomach kinda wish would have started with the vet thinking he started with the bill.

My dogs leg the decision for the situation my dogs leg it is much more rational to try and like to spend money in trying to run so important thing it is young and fix her crooked leg she deserved chance to us the procedure to her whether that made sense rationally or some other not think it would have saved the leg than on new car or.

For the reason he never knew he thought he never knew he wouldnt have been willing to try we could we give our children but one of his head when he never knew he did you know they are pets not children it home supplies from.

My dogs become ill and kenneling in case im ill want the insurance covers the bill it also covers the bill it also covers the rest of other stuff like alternative therapies and kenneling in.
