What dog breeds do you think have the most health problems?

dog health
officer Yoshimi asked:

I say Cocker Spaniels & Poodles.
you?
I know dogs that are poorly bred end up having more health problems. I also know pretty much all breeds have certain health issues that they are more prone to getting, that’s a really a given.

But as groomer more often than not when those breeds come in they have some thing going on with them, again this is my own personal observation.

i’m sure many people will argue that it’s the breeding and not the breed, but assuming that we’re taking the finest specimens of every breed, the flat-faced ones are the ones with the most health probs.

Pugs because you need to clean out there flaps everyday or they will get bacteria up there. Also because there nose is so scrunched in they can hardly breath so they might need surgery! And sometimes they are really fat and they have health problems and can die!

The biggest issue with health is guaranteed to answer question like that my opinion at least.
The biggest issue with poor breeding and poor breeding and poor breeding and poor keeping its much more about human irresponsibility than dogs breed.

Any poorly bred dog can have health problems. That is why genetic screening is so important. If you breed 2 dogs with bad hips, you produce puppies with worse hips and on and on. But I think the poorly bred flat faced breeds have the most problems.
